My father now loves the Mazda 6 2014 in white! He forgot the Altima as soon as he saw it. We saw Buicks but it didn't do it for him at the gm dealership (except for a GMC Terrain which was totally unexpected). Same for the Ford Fusion. Now the thing is...it's not as equiped as the Altima for the same price and the other issue is that, it's a little more expensive than the Altima per month. He doesn't like that fact, but I'm willing to put money on it if he really likes it. He got the Altima for 32000$ fully equiped with winter and summer tires. Any other car suggestions for under 32000$ that is fully equiped.

New legacy looked really nice, the new honda accord is a great fuel efficient and really reliable car. If he wants an SUV the forester is a great choice.

He doesn't like the Hondas. I could pull him to the subaru side, just to see.

I don't know about fully equipped but 2013 Honda Accord V6 EX-L is a good option around that price as far as comfort, reliability and it's got a 278 HP V6 gets 21/34 MPG.

it's too bad because the Accord is definitely the best all around car in the segment

Nah hey I really like the 6 and in white it's drool worthy, just threw it out there because we're talking low $30's.

I know, I suggested it multiple times but he just don't like it. Too common.

Depending solely upon how good you are at haggling, an 2014 honda accord coupe 2.4L i4 with 185 hp and 181 nm of torque in an ex-l package and w/0 navigation can be had for under 32,000 with TT&L included(which is what I have). The msrp on a accord coupe fully loaded with a v6 and navi is 32,400(but this is without TT&L, and you can alway negotiate the price down a bit). You might even be able to get the accord sedan v6 touring. The msrp on a accord sedan touring, fully loaded is 33,480 so you should be able to negotiate it under 32,000, but again this wont include tt&l.

Does he like the Korean twins Sonota/Optima? You can also get a well equipped Passat for that money...not loaded but with some good stuff and the 1.8T is a great motor.

The new legacy looks great and the forester always is a best buy. Plus depending on where you live in canada, the awd for your winter season is amazing.

He still have the old school mentality about Korean cars and hates them period.

I have to say, mazda's are pretty good cars. It was one of my final two choices when I was buying my car. But then I chose the honda instead. Also that's exactly what I thought at first. If you asked me about 6 months ago, I would've said I hated honda's. (not including early 1999 to 2003 civics.) But my cousin got an accord coupe, and as soon as I saw it, I was surprised that an accord could look so good. Actually go look at one and drive it, and you'll be surprised to see that it actually has a somewhat sporty quality to it. You said your father forgot about the altima as soon as he saw the mazda 3? Well then what's to say that the same might not apply to an accord coupe with a v6 and an manual in it? Or maybe an accord sport sedan. The new ones after the facelift looks pretty good IMHO. Stay open minded my friend.

I am open minded and would love a Manual v6 powered Accord sedan in white....but my Father dont like the rear end, feels that it's too common and only wants the 4 cyl. He saw it face to face.

Ok understandable, I can't force a car on you. But if he wants a sport car though, he could get a Nissan 370z. It's under 30,000 for a base model. But I think the Mazda is a great choice honestly. It only lost out to the Honda because I haven't heard the best think about the engine. I have a few friends who have Mazda 3's. Apparently they burn oil after 2-3 years. I have no idea about the 2014 model since they pretty much revamped the whole car but just a heads up. I also considered the lexus ct200h, but I felt like I would rather cut off my balls than own a car based upon the prius. We all know about battery problems for hybrids, etc. If they had a non hybrid version, I would totally get it. But look at the ford fusion too. I think they look great, and they start at 21000 I think of a base non hybrid version.

I'm biased, but that would be my choice as well. Perfect color for that car.

Get the Mazda6. It's the best of the bunch by a long shot, especially if he cares at all about driving dynamics. A Mazda6 GT is extremely well equipped, handles great, gets the best MPG, and is the only real looker in this class. I'm not sure what else comes on the loaded Altima, but I doubt it makes it worth it (for what it's worth I recently had one as rental and was not impressed). Easy choice to me.

Really work this 2014 Mazda 6 angle on him. I cannot stress enough how fine a vehicle it is, and I speak from personal experience.
